This panel idea came from one of our Instagram followers during our Be Kind Bear Kit Giveaway, and what a wonderful suggestion it was! Who doesn’t love the beautiful greens of lush garden plants? To give it extra pop, I added plenty of bright red flowers and a rich wooden greenhouse structure that pulls the whole piece together.

For this design, I leaned into a more painterly, impressionistic style. It has a textured, dreamy quality—almost like stepping into a storybook painting. This makes it stand apart from some of our more whimsical kid-friendly panels; the Greenhouse Panel is especially designed with teens and adults in mind. When we made the first sample quilt, my mom loved it so much that she kept it (after all, she did all the work piecing it together!). I made another one, but then my husband claimed that one. So far, I’ve made several samples and haven’t managed to keep any for myself—proof of just how irresistible this quilt is once it’s finished!
