A group of dedicated quilters in Montreal is stitching love and comfort into every patchwork, creating quilts for children in the ICU at the Montreal Children's Hospital. Many of these quilters are moms who have experienced the challenges of having a child in intensive care themselves, and their mission is to make the hospital feel a little more like home for both the young patients and their families. Tucked away in Golden, Colorado, the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum is a delightful hidden gem for quilting enthusiasts and art lovers alike, featuring a stunning collection of quilts that celebrate the craft as both art and history. Joan Duncan, a talented appliqué quilter, is currently exhibiting her work for the first time, describing herself as an "ordinary quilter" with a passion for nature-inspired designs. Alongside these contemporary masterpieces, the museum also showcases historical quilts, some nearly 200 years old, which were lovingly hand-sewn during the Gold Rush.
