Old Tippecanoe Quilt Guild's Festival of Quilts
It’s been 40 years of the Old Tippecanoe Quilt Guild’s Festival of Quilts, and this year’s celebration is shaping up to be a real showstopper! With over 100 breathtaking quilts on display, this festival is like walking into a patchwork paradise. Here’s what’s got us sewing in excitement:
- Quilts with a Cause: Some of these heartwarming quilts are donated to veterans and women’s shelters, reminding us of the love and comfort stitched into every piece.
- A Legacy of Craftsmanship: Founding member Mary Jasheway reflects on 40 years of quilting evolution – and it’s a true testament to the artistry, creativity, and heart of our quilting community. And, like us, she has an appreciation for quilting t-shirts!

Stitching Hope: The Appalachian Quilt Project
You know how we quilters always say that every stitch is made with love? Well, a group of crafters in Kentucky is really putting that into action! They've come together to create beautiful quilts for survivors of the devastating floods that hit Eastern Kentucky. Here's the scoop:
- Dozens of quilters have joined forces in this amazing project
- They're using all sorts of fabrics, including some from unfinished projects (we all have those, right?)
- Each quilt is unique and made with care, just like the ones we make for our loved ones
It's so inspiring to see how our quilting community can come together to wrap those in need with warmth and comfort. Isn't it wonderful how a simple act of kindness, like making a quilt, can mean so much to someone who's lost everything? Read the full story.
